Transport 

We operate five green leaf collection vehicles for collecting green leaf from our growers. They are fitted with green leaf carrying bodies which are designed to provide the loaded leaf with sufficient ventilation to prevent it from overheating. Fortunately, most of our growers are quite close to our tea factory, so the time taken between plucking and receiving the green leaf into the factory is kept to a minimum. 

The green leaf that is collected is weighed at the growers’ collection points near their fields using purpose-designed green leaf bags which permit ventilation of the leaf and protect it from damage. Both the growers and the pluckers are paid according to the kilos produced and weighed at the collection centre. 

 

We maintain and service our all our vehicles and tractors in our workshops at the tea factory.
